Slip Seal Teflon replacement washers for Slip Seal dispenser valves.
This set of three washers fit both 5" and 6" Valves. 3 required per valve.
Customers sometimes ask what these washers are for and where they go. Well, Teflon is the material that is applied to cookware to keep food from sticking. It is what as known as a "Dry" lubricant. It needs no additional lubrication (such as oil) to keep it feeling slippery. The three washers fit under the spring and between the two valve pieces where they hinge on the bolt that holds the valve together. The washers keep the pieces from rubbing against each and allows the valve to be operated with much less effort. Teflon is a perfect material for this application because it is maintenence free and doesn't leak all over what you are packaging. They last a long time but they do wear out. Replacing them when you replace the spring will help keep your dispenser valve operating freely and with less wear on the valve surfaces.
